B17s - Original Art
This painting was inspired by a visit to a UK airshow. During WW2 the skies over the east of England were filled with the sight of British and American aircraft. One such aircraft was the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress. In this scene a B17 prepares to leave on a bombing mission, whilst overhead another B17 limps home, having been hit by anti-aircraft artillery, somewhere over Germany.
Acrylic on illustration board. Unframed. 42cm x 22cm
